Bio
Mark Perlson
is a producer in Apple's Graphic Design group, managing interactive
technology projects for apple.com.
Prior to joining
Apple in 2006, Mark spent 7 years as a Senior Project Manager for
Avenue A | Razorfish, now owned by Microsoft. He led business strategy,
creative, and technology projects for clients such as Genentech,
Sun Microsystems, Visa, San Jose State University, Bechtel, Siebel
Systems, Dell Ventures, Caterpillar, and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Mark is a PMI® certified Project Manager
Professional (PMP).
Mark managed several now-defunct record labels in New York before
moving to San Francisco to join the internet revolution. As
Director of Production for the Phoenix Media Group, Mark designed
and developed the company's website, led the online business development,
and produced all CDs. Before this, Mark served as general manager
of Knitting Factory Works and Caipirinha Music. While directing
the sales, marketing, and business affairs of the labels, he produced
numerous media projects, including over one hundred CDs for the
likes of Pat Metheny, DJ Spooky, and Wayne Horwitz. Mark also helped
develop the knittingfactory.com website, which featured streaming
media and e-commerce as early as 1995. During this period in New
York, Mark also worked on groundbreaking live streaming music events
and served as Music Supervisor for the feature length motion picture
"Modulations."
Never one to sit still, Mark designs and builds furniture and plays
the guitar. Mark graduated from Reed College with a degree in philosophy. |
